Faithful Citizenship (USCCB, November 2007)

Catholics must never abandon the moral requirement to seek full protection for all human life
from the moment of conception until natural death.

Pope Benedict XVI and the USCCB (2008)

National Committee for a Human Life Amendment

We are committed to full legal recognition of the right to life of the unborn child, and will not rest in our efforts until society respects the inherent worth and dignity of every member of the human race.

This branch of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has promoted more than 330 human life proposals since 1973.  Among the 330 human life proposals many included language seeking to define a person so as to include every human being from the moment of fertilization.
